Coca-Cola has announced the biggest change to its popular Freestyle beverage machines in the past 15 years. First introduced in 2009, the Freestyle machines revolutionized the in-restaurant soda experience, allowing customers to create over 100 unique drink combinations. Updated Freestyle machines will feature a new ‘Freestyle Equinox’ interface, smaller Freestyle Minis, and a partnership with Micro Matic to deliver new soda options directly to the fountain.
The new Freestyle Equinox interface arrives on June 23 on all machines. The Equinox promises more engaging visuals, and enhanced touchscreen features that show limited-edition flavors and quicker dispensing of sodas.
The Freestyle Mini machines hold up to 16 flavor cartridges, and can replace previously used bar gun dispensers for bars, cafés, and hotels that have smaller countertop spaces. These machines were previously introduced in Europe.
A new partnership with Micro Matic will introduce a non-alcoholic mixology dispenser to Freestyle machines, allowing users to add syrup, dairy, and dairy alternatives directly into soft drinks – creating craft-level beverages. These are especially designed for the “Dirty Soda” craze that has been sweeping the nation. You can look for the new machines beginning this summer.
