The Bloom is one of those traditions that completely takes over Winchester—in the best way. Every year, the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival (a privately run event) brings more than 250,000 people to town for 10+ days of parades, concerts, dances, the Apple Blossom Carnival, Bloomin’ WinFest, parties, sporting events… honestly, the list goes on.
Even though the City of Winchester doesn’t run the festival itself, plenty of City departments are hard at work behind the scenes to help keep everything safe and enjoyable for everyone who comes out.
