Need some inspo for your next big adventure? “National Geographic” is sharing some ideas in their Best of the World Destinations 2026 report. The annual list is loaded with 25 unique and unforgettable experiences for travelers.
- The destinations are handpicked by the travel magazine’s editors, photographers, and adventurers all over the planet.
- The winners span the globe, but there are several here in the U.S., including Route 66; Maui, Hawaii; and North Dakota’s Badlands.
- This year, “National Geographic” also launched a “Reader’s Choice” campaign inviting them to nominate their favorite travel destination recommendations. The top four finalists were Cinque Terre, Italy; Taipei; Banff, Canada; and the Atacama Desert in Chile. Voters on social media chose Banff as the ultimate winner.
