Trailer Carrying 40-Thousand Pounds Of Steak Goes Up In Flames

A tractor-trailer carrying 40-thousand pounds of ribeye steaks recently caught fire on Interstate 74 in Missouri, temporarily closing the eastbound lanes. The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District described it as “a well involved commercial vehicle fire.” Sadly for steak fans, they also later confirmed the steaks were “a total loss.” Smoke poured from the trailer as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. Commenters online have joked the blaze was “the best smelling fire” and that “the steaks are high” in this incident, while others noted the serious danger of fighting such a big fire.
