A surfer in Australia had his board bitten in half by what's believed to be a great white shark, but he escaped without injury. Brad Ross was surfing at Cabarita Beach in New South Wales on Monday morning when the attack happened. A witness saw an "explosion of water and foam" as the shark bit Ross's board in two. The surfer made it back to shore safely, though his board was destroyed with a large bite taken out of the middle.
Drone footage captured the estimated 16-foot great white shark moments after the incident, and the beach was closed for the rest of the day as a safety measure. Coast cameras recorded the whole scary event, which happened around 7:30 in the morning. Despite the dramatic attack, Ross was completely unharmed and able to walk away from the incident.
