Study: A Four Day Work Week Is Linked To Better Mental And Physical Health

The push for a four day work week just got a boost because it’s linked to better mental health. A six-month study was led by Boston College researchers and involved nearly three-thousand employees at more than 140 businesses in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Published in Nature Human Behavior, it points to less burnout and better job satisfaction among workers with shortened work weeks. The surprising part of the results was a strong uptick in both physical and mental health.
