Successful Couples Do These Four Things In The Morning

Relationship expert Sara Nasserzadeh has shared four morning habits that successful couples use to strengthen their bond. These simple practices help couples stay connected even when life gets busy.

  • First, couples should say hello to each other in the morning. Sara calls this "basic etiquette." That little greeting tells your partner "I see you. You're alive. I'm alive. I appreciate you." She says many couples skip this simple step, but it's a powerful way to keep that emotional connection strong.
  • Second, successful couples make small loving gestures for each other. This might mean making coffee for your partner, putting out their robe, or setting up their breakfast bowl. These actions show "I go out of my way for you" and "I celebrate you today."
  • Third, they spend a few minutes together in the morning, even if it's just having coffee. Therapist Amy Morin says this connection time creates a regular ritual that both partners can look forward to. It reminds them that even when the day gets stressful, they need to make time for what really matters.
  • Finally, successful couples include physical affection like a kiss or hug before leaving for work. This releases feel-good hormones like oxytocin, which strengthens their bond and makes them want to grow closer together.
