Meta Adds New Teen Safety Features For Facebook, Instagram

Meta’s stepping up its teen safety game with new rules across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger — think of it as digital bubble wrap for under-16 users. Teens now need a parent’s OK to go live on Insta, and any nudity flagged in DMs gets blurred automatically (no ifs, ands, or butts). The company’s also rolling out privacy-packed Teen Accounts to all its platforms, aiming to keep things safe no matter where teens scroll. Critics still say it’s not foolproof, especially for kids using fake ages, but hey, progress is progress.
