Don Gorske, a guy from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, just ate his 35,000th Big Mac! He’s been munching on these McDonald’s burgers since 1972, when he got his first car and drove straight to McDonald’s. Back then, he ate nine in one day. Now, at 71, he’s famous for holding the Guinness World Record for the most Big Macs eaten ever.
Fans showed up to watch him chow down at his favorite McDonald’s on Saturday as he ate his 35-thousandth Big Mac. Don usually eats two Big Macs a day, about 14 a week. To hit 35-thousand exactly, he ate just one a day for three days before the big event. He’s been counting every burger since day one, which should probably be a record itself.
