Giving Tuesday And Ways To Celebrate

As we mark Giving Tuesday today, the World Giving Index ranks the U.S. as the sixth-most charitable nation in the world. The index found Americans gave almost $560-billion to charity last year, most of which came directly from individuals. Americans also gave their time, with more than 60-million people volunteering more than four-billion hours in 2023. The most charitable state in the union using these metrics is Wyoming, followed by Utah, Minnesota, Maine and Delaware.

Here are ways that you can be part of Giving Tuesday:

  • Donate food
  • Donate blood
  • Donate to a local non-profit
  • Pay it forward
  • Distribute essential items to the homeless
  • Adopt a family for the holidays
  • Help animals
  • Help your neighbors
