WalletHub has done the research to find the best places to be looking for employment this year. They’ve just come out with their annual report on the Best and Worst States for Jobs.

  • They rated all 50 states on 34 key indicators of job-market strength and economic health.
  • These include everything from median annual income to average commute time to job opportunities.
  • So, which state is the most attractive for employment?
  • This year, New Hampshire tops the list, coming in first in the job market category and ninth for economic environment.
  • Washington, 14th overall, lands at number one for economic environment.
  • At the other end of the list is West Virginia, which is dead last in both categories, making it the worst state for jobs.
