Rolling Thunder Ending Their Annual Ride To DC

Military Times is reporting that Rolling Thunders' ride to Washington DC is coming to an end. The 30 year tradition on Memorial Day is to honor Veterans, Military Service, Missing In Action and Prisoners of War. Like everything else the cost is simply too high. By the time the event is done the group can spend well over $200,000 including $60,000 for renting the Pentagon Parking Lot alone. The event brings well over 10,000 bikers with next year's event expected to draw over a million to the DC. There is talk of other chapters and groups putting together similar rides but Rolling Thunder will likely stop after this May. For the whole story as reported by Military Times click here.
