3D Crosswalks Of The Future Protect Pedestrians

These 3d Crosswalks are designed to slow down traffic and protect pedestrians. Being used in Iceland I can see these becoming the norm in the not to distant future. It's not just a great optical illusion but it makes a driver look twice before moving forward. Not to mention they look really cool. The optical illusion actually shifts as You look at it from different angles. This was the brainchild of Ralf Trylla who was researching ways to slow traffic and protect pedestrians. After seeing a similar effect in India and working with painting crews this was the really cool result. My Modern Meth has more on what they call 3D Zebra Striped Crosswalks by clicking here. I see these becoming a thing.
