The Remains Of A Civil War Era Ship Off The Coast

North Carolina resident Brent Garlington captured this great footage using a drone. It appears to be the wreckage of a civil war era iron clad vessel just off of Holden beach. Researchers say it is the remains of one of three ships known to have sunk about 30 miles southwest of Wilmington North Carolina back in the 1860's. The wreckage becomes more visible at times due to sediments shifting and low tides.
