McDonald’s Pushes New Cheaper Meals As Diners Cut Back

McDonald’s is testing a new batch of lower-priced meal deals as it looks to win back budget-conscious customers. An eight-week pilot at 19-hundred locations includes mix-and-match options featuring items like the McDouble, McChicken, six-piece McNuggets and fries for about $3.50 to $4, depending on the market. The chain says it plans to use the test to determine which bundles are most popular before a broader nationwide rollout early next year. Participation varies by location, and McDonald’s hasn’t released a list of stores taking part in the test.
