United Flight Turns Back After Teen Has A Bluetooth Speaker Named "BOMB"

A United flight from Newark to Spain turned around Saturday night because of a passenger's Bluetooth device. About an hour after takeoff, the crew kept telling everyone to shut off Bluetooth or the plane would head back. It turned out a 16-year-old had a Bluetooth speaker named "BOMB," which they obviously thought would be just fine with everyone. The teen reportedly admitted it was his, and the flight returned to New Jersey. Emergency vehicles met the Boeing 767 at a far spot on the airport, and the engines were shut down; passengers got off with their phones and passports, rode buses for about an hour, then went through security screening again. They each received a 15 dollar meal credit and finally got back on board around 2:30 a.m.
