Ozzy Osbourne Was Making 'Mind-Blowing' Progress Before COVID-19 Quarantine

Ozzy Osbourne has reason to believe he'll be healthy enough to tour again one day.

According to his daughter, Kelly Osbourne, The Prince of Darkness has made significant progress in his battle against Parkinson's Disease with the help of stem cell treatments.

Kelly says her dad traveled to Panama for a round of treatment a few weeks ago. The results of the treatment were significant.

"Seeing, after one treatment of stem cell, what has happened and the progress that he's made is mind-blowing," Kelly told Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview. "He wants to get up. He wants to do things. He wants to be a part of the world again. He's walking better. He's talking better. His symptoms are lessening. He is building the muscle strength back that he needs after his spine surgery."

Ozzy was scheduled to head to Switzerland this month to see a Parkinson's specialist for more treatment but had to cancel the trip due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kelly says the pandemic has made an already difficult situation worse for her dad, who had to call off his touring plans for all of last year amid a battery of health issues, most significantly neck surgery.

Ozzy likes to stay active and has repeated over the years that he doesn't enjoy much recreation outside of music. Not being able to perform for people has, by his own admission, left him battling depression.

"Everything is starting to fall into place now, and it has given us so much hope," Kelly continued. "We are very grateful to the doctors that are helping him... He's ready to get out of the house and now he can't get out of the house. He keeps saying to me, 'I've been on quarantine for almost two years, and now I'm feeling better and the world is on quarantine.'"

Prior to having neck surgery last year, Ozzy was hospitalized with complications from the flu. He got sick right before heading out for a European tour.
