Nikki Sixx Praises Tommy Lee For Performing Despite Injury

While the show received somewhat of a mixed-to-positive response among viewers, drummer Tommy Lee had sustained four broken ribs a couple of weeks ago and he apparently defied doctor's orders to take part in "The Stadium Tour".

After just a couple songs, Lee was filled in for the remainder of the Atlanta show by Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath drummer Tommy Clufetos.

Now, as reported by Blabbermouth, bassist Nikki Sixx praised his bandmate for "beasting" through several songs of the band's set that night, tweeting:

"The fact that Tommy was told by the doctor to not play with 4 broken ribs & he beasted half our show is a miracle. We are a band and are proud of his strength. He is doing the whole tour and day by day adding more songs. What a fucking animal. Anybody out there ever break ur ribs?"

"The Stadium Tour" is ongoing until September 9th, when it wraps up in Las Vegas. All dates and ticketing information can be found here.

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen recently hinted that "The Stadium Tour" will take place in Europe next year and claimed that Mötley Crüe have "signed up" to be part of it.
