For generations, parents have taught their kids about the dangers of smoking or drinking by giving their kids cigarettes to smoke or alcohol to drink. But one mother took her lesson about drunk driving a bit too far.
48-year-old Sunita Jairam of Lexington, Kentucky was arrested last weekend for DUI -- something she claims she did to teach her son a lesson. She told police that she “drank a bunch of beer" and put her son in the car to teach him about drunk driving. She was also clocked going 150 miles per hour, which she said was also to teach her son about speeding.
In the end, the son most definitely learned a lesson. The mother was arrested and charged with drunk driving and endangering the welfare of a minor. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
