Foodies are now taking the humble pickle to new heights by fermenting the salty snack in soda pop. In fact, a Mississippi mom has shared a now-viral video of herself ordering a "large Dr Pepper with pickles" at a Sonic Drive-In, which is apparently a secret drink hack that’s taking over social media.
In the vid, the Sonic employee nonchalantly accommodates the request, noting that the pickle charge would show up as "add cherries" on the receipt. The sweet and savory combo is officially known as a "Dr. Pepper Pucker” and even gets accommodated at Whataburger which offers a "Witch Doctor" mixing of all their sodas with a briny spear.
