Ring Returned By Carrot 13 Years Later

A Canadian woman got the surprise of her life when her engagement ring turned up 13 years after she lost it on a carrot.  84 year old Mary Grams lost the ring back in 2004 while pulling weeds in her garden in Alberta, Canada.  She couldn't find it and eventually wrote off the ring she was given in 1951.

Her daughter-in-law, who now lives where Grams used to, was out pulling up carrots for dinner when she realized that there, right on a carrot, was the ring, the vegetable growing right through the middle.  Grams was a bit shocked but she's wearing the ring again.  It's still a perfect fit.
