Jimi Jamison, known for stints as the lead singer of Survivor and Cobra, has died at 63.  According to TMZ, Jamison suffered a heart attack.

After the demise of Cobra, Jamison joined Survivor.  Original Survivor singer David Bickler was forced to leave the group due to vocal cord issues.

Jamison joined Survivor after the band recorded and released their seminal hit, Eye of the Tiger.  But, he did handle vocals for hits like The Moment of Truth, Is This Love, and Burning Heart.  The Moment of Truth was featured in The Karate Kid and Burning Heart was from Rocky IV.

As a solo artist, Jamison wrote and recorded I'm Always There, which became the theme song for Baywatch.
